Course Description

This 10-day course, “Script to Screen”, is designed to give you a complete introduction to how a film is made, taking you through every stage of the filmmaking process—from idea to final output. Whether you are a beginner or someone exploring a career in cinema, this program helps you understand the foundation of filmmaking in a clear, practical, and engaging way.

The course begins by breaking down the journey of a film, helping you understand how an idea transforms into a finished visual story. You will explore each stage of filmmaking, including pre-production, production, and post-production, gaining insight into how these phases connect and contribute to the final film. This structured approach gives you a strong overview of the filmmaking workflow followed in the industry.
A key focus of the program is answering one of the most important questions in cinema: “Who does what in filmmaking?” You will learn about the roles and responsibilities of the core departments, including direction, cinematography, editing, and sound. By understanding how each department functions and collaborates, you’ll gain clarity on how films are created as a team effort and how every role contributes to storytelling.

The course also introduces you to the different career opportunities in filmmaking. From creative roles like director and editor to technical roles in sound and camera, you’ll get a clear idea of the paths you can pursue based on your interests and strengths. This helps you make informed decisions about your future in the film and media industry.

Through interactive sessions, discussions, and real-world examples, you will not only learn the theory but also understand how filmmaking works in practice. By the end of the 10 days, you’ll have a strong foundation in film production process, clarity on various filmmaking roles, and a better understanding of where you fit into the world of cinema.

If you’re curious about filmmaking and want to take your first step into the industry, this course is the perfect starting point to explore, learn, and begin your journey from script to screen.
